Ana Maria Valdes

The influences from growing up during the first years of her life in the natural environment of her native country of El Salvador, full of floral colors, exuberant leaves, raising roots from rivers and sea, rain and more rain, have been the most important references to her passion and love for organic designs and natural colors.

Her studies in Functional and Chinese Medicine in Europe, China and Peru have greatly influenced Ana's dedication for the importance of medicinal and energetic qualities of minerals, quartz, and semiprecious stones as a mean of active therapy. The both constant and broad relation between men and nature, have amplified her necessity to undergo creative exploration and experimentation leading her to the studio and onto a search of organic art as an alternative way of subtle healing. Experimentation of the senses, such as visual impacts, connections with the soul, touch interaction through softness, textures and energies are some of the purposes of her artistic work. the stretch towards a creative expression of organic beauty allows her to let go and let nature guide her through out this creative exercise.
